Margie’s Small Pet Minding Service opened for business three years ago in 2017.

 

After many years working as an accounts payable professional, I decided I needed to do something more fulfilling with my life, and I became a volunteer at the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital every Tuesday for 4 - 5 hours as a member of the 'Book Bunker' team.

 

It gives me great joy to see the little children's faces light-up, when I ask them if they would like to have some books to read or in some cases just look at the pictures. Then I was asked if I could come and take care of a dear friend's little dog whilst she went on a well deserved holiday, and I received so much joy and pleasure from taking care of her little fur-baby Buddy and looking after her lovely home, whilst I was looking after her house and Buddy in December 2016, I decided this was what I wanted to do, and decided I would start my own business taking care of small fur-babies that need loving care whilst their human families needed to go away on holidays.

 

My dear friends brother and his family were going away, and needed someone to look after their two fur-babies (Missy and Leo) and as they knew I had looked after Buddy, they asked me if I could look after their two babies. It has been a pleasure and has brought great joy into my life, caring for these beautiful loving dogs, they love lots of belly rubs and cuddles and playing fetch. I look forward to caring for them again this year.
